We've spent the last several months immersed in the culture of Spain discovering its many treasures, and now we want to share them with you in the next chapter of The Roving Hotel.
Spend a week ensconced in a sprawling mansion in the picturesque hills of Andalusia, from which we'll explore all that this famed area has to offer.
Tapas... Sangria... Flamenco... Paella...

The Hacienda
Amongst the fascinating people we met on our travels was the current Duke of Ahumada, who graciously gave us a tour of the estate that has been his family seat for more than four hundred years. Boasting timeless architecture, endless views, landscaped gardens, and countless amenities including pools, tennis, croquet, padel, shooting, and a spa, we immediately fell in love and knew we'd found the place for the next Roving Hotel. While sections of the property have hosted weddings and events, and a few hotel style rooms have recently been added in the outbuildings, the Duke has offered something very special exclusively for the Roving Hotel- private use of the entire estate, including the family's personal living quarters and their entire staff. This allows us to offer guests an option they've never had before- want a new room with floor to ceiling windows, private terrace, and modern bath? Just let us know. Prefer to live like actual nobility in a centuries old suite? We've got you taken care of there too.
The Itinerary
Our trips are all-inclusive and fully curated, meaning that the only thing you'll need to think about from the moment you arrive until you're ready to depart is whether you'd like the Rioja or the Alabriño- or go with one of each.
Your mornings will begin with breakfast at your leisure in one of the most beautiful dining rooms you've ever seen, with ample time to relax around the hacienda, get in a workout or a sauna, or just prepare for the day ahead. Our chauffeurs arrive around ten or eleven to take us on that day’s adventure which is never too far of a drive, but always someplace new and exciting.
We’ll return to the villa by late afternoon for some downtime before the cocktail hour that leads us to each evening's main event- a decadent dinner party prepared by private chefs.
The Excursions
While we like to keep the specifics of what each day will entail a bit of a secret, rest assured you will experience first hand and in grand fashion the highlights of what makes this region so spectacular.
You'll take a tapas crawl through the historic city of Seville, birthplace of the bullfighter, while you marvel at its towering cathedral, stunning parks, and breakthtaking Plaza de España.
You'll get an insider's tour of the magical beachfront town of Cadiz, the oldest continuously inhabited city in Spain and still one of the most charming.
You'll learn about the various type of Sherry from award winning winemakers.
You'll meet Princes and Dukes who will give you a behind-the-scenes look at the life of Spanish nobility.
And many more surprises...
All of our excursions- though highly recommended- are fully optional, and should you choose to stay behind in the hacienda to relax or catch up on work - or want to set out and explore on your own - our staff will be there to cater to your every need.
The Evenings
Though the days are all memorable, it’s the nights that our past travelers have told us they love the most. You'll indulge in copious amounts of the wide variety of incredible food and wine for which Spain is rightfully famous, but the gustatory aspects are just the beginning. Think of the best dinner parties you've ever been to; full of great company, engaging conversation, games, cheers, dancing, and laughter. Now imagine that party lasted for one long, luxurious week that has been planned down to the very last detail, and you’ll begin to have an idea of what The Roving Hotel is all about.
The People
We can find magnificent houses, plan great meals and tours, and curate a really wonderful time, but in the end, it’s the people you meet through The Roving Hotel that make it so truly unique. The weeks are specifically designed to allow you to bond with your fellow travelers, a fascinating group of adventurous spirits from around the world. While the experience may only last for one magical week, the friendships you form will last a lifetime.

Should you choose to arrive in Europe earlier or extend your stay longer, we are happy to provide recommended itineraries.
The closest airports are Jerez (40 minutes) Seville (1hr) and Malaga (2hrs). Spain also has a fantastic rail system which provides connection to Jerez or Seville from all major Spanish cities.
Participation for the week is priced at €4,450 per person based on double occupancy. This rate is all inclusive and covers the villa, staff, chauffeurs, meals and beverages, all excursions, and airport transfers.
A €1,000 deposit is required to reserve your spot, with the remainder due 15 days before the trip begins.
